Week of 10/28-11/1

Monday 10/28:
1.  Read the handout What is an Empire and complete the task on the bottom.
2. Open note quiz on the Persian empire.  You will have to complete the back of the empire handout in class tomorrow.  You may prepare tonight for tomorrow's quiz.  Basically, you have to prove that Persia was empire.  Be sure to look at your notes on Cyrus and Darius and the reading about the customs of Persia.

Tuesday 10/29:
1. China questions #1-4 due tomorrow. (not period 1, you did not get a handout).


Wednesday 10/30:
1. China questions #5-10 due on Friday.


Thursday 10/31: TBA


Friday 11/1:
1. China questions 11-13 due on Monday 11/4.

Monday 10/21:
1. Read and Answer the questions for the Flood Stories.

Tuesday 10/22:
1. Work on textbook questions/notes for Persia.

Wednesday 10/23:
1. Work on textbook questions/notes for Persia.

Thursday 10/24:
1. Textbook notes on Persia due TOMORROW!

Friday 10/25:
1. Textbook questions due TODAY!
2. Persia reading and ThinkMARK due on Monday.

Monday 10/14: No School!

Tuesday 10/15:
1. Create a t-Chart that address the following question. (Just like we did in class for the candy)
        "Compare similarities and differences between middle school and high school."
2. Pick a "side" and then create a thesis statement.

Wednesday 10/15:
1. Complete the Assyrian handout using textbook pages 75-78. Make sure you read each section and take good notes! At least 5 FACTS for each section.  You will need this for class tomorrow.  You DO NOT have to do the back of paper.

Thursday 10/16:

Monday 10/7:
1. Olmec reading and chart. 
2. Periodization reading and assignment due tomorrow.
